 [Thomas] Christopher Jones

Chris is a 1993 graduate of Loyola College in Maryland, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Advertising. 

A lifetime Baltimore resident, he is a designer with more than twelve years’ experience — more than eight years of those as an independent visual artist and design consultant. He’s has worked with a diverse array of clients in his firm, Brown Hornet Design, Inc.

Outside of a passion for well-crafted communications and helping the support system for those who make them, he is an avid sports fan, cyclist and illustrator.

Amy Hollomon

Currently Amy serves as Email Marketing Associate for Internet Strategy Group, an award-winning online marketing firm located in Baltimore, MD. She assists with email campaign development, implementation and campaign tracking and reporting. Prior to joining Internet Strategy Group, Amy assisted Whitmore Group in marketing and business development in Annapolis, MD and served as Marketing Manager at VBP OutSourcing in Glen Burnie, MD.

At present, Amy administers two professional networking groups, one entitled Koffee Talk for marketing and sales professionals and the other entitled B'more Creatives for creative professional women in and around the world of design. In addition to her position on the AIGA Baltimore board, she also chairs the Young Alumni and Student Programs committee of Stevenson University's Alumni Association.

Amy attended Villa Julie College where she studied Visual Communication Design and earned a Bachelors degree. Her core expertise includes graphic design, visual communication, photography, marketing, project management, publicity, promotions, event planning and activity coordination. In her personal time, Amy enjoys travel, live music, dancing, seeing movies and viewing art and meeting new people.

Joe Augustyniak

Joe is a Communications Specialist with the State of Maryland developing content, design, and branding. Previously, he worked for the Maryland Historical Society on the library’s website. He’s been a manager, account rep, and an estimator in printing and binding. He teaches a course yearly in the graphic design department of the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where he’s also tutored undergraduates in the Writing Studio.

Joe has an MA in Publication Design from the University of Baltimore, where he also studied law. He has a BA from Johns Hopkins and an MA from the University of Rochester where he also worked on a doctorate. He has a certificate from the Creative Entrepreneurship program, a joint project at the University of Baltimore School of Business and MICA.

Joe enjoys spending time with his 1 year-old son Kai, his wife Kathy, and two cats, Minnie and Bob.

VP of Education

Stacy Ross

After graduating from UMBC in 2004 with a BA in graphic design  and a minor in art history, Stacy worked as a designer for M.T.H. Electric Trains in Columbia, Md. and The 24 Hour Company Falls Church, Va. In 2006 she joined the AIGA board as student liaison and assisted the previous VP of Education with various tasks. That same year she also joined the Mjach Designs team as a full-time graphic designer after freelancing for several months. Mjach Designs is an award-wining graphic design and communication firm located in Baltimore. At Mjach, Stacy currently serves as a lead graphic designer and has the opportunity to art direct many of the projects and photo shoots that come through. Because Mjach is committed to providing students with valuable internships, she is able to further her passion for helping students even at work. In her free time, Stacy enjoys reading, traveling, attending the theater, visiting art galleries, and always looks forward to new and exciting experiences.

Allison McAuley

Allison has served on the board of AIGA Baltimore for the past two years. Her first role with the organization was Promotions Chair and now she is heading up Programming. She is a graduate of the Portfolio Center—a prestigious graphic design school in Atlanta—and has a degree in advertising from Michigan State. Currently, she is the Art Director at Rytter Design in Butler, Maryland. Her work has been awarded by the American Advertising Federation, the Advertising Association of Baltimore, and the Admissions Marketing Report. Allison’s artistic bent doesn’t stop at the office though; at home she is a craftaholic, creating everything from mosaics to Chinese brush paintings.

Joe Wagner

Joe Wagner is currently Marketing Director of the Whitmore Group in Baltimore and Annapolis. He served as President of AIGA Baltimore for 4 years and as a founding member of the Central PA AIGA Chapter was their first chapter President. Seeing a need for a professional networking group for women in communications he was instrumental starting B’more Creative.

Mike Jovel

Michael has served on the board of AIGA Baltimore for the Past 4 years.  Initially serviing as Membership Chair and now as Website Chair.  Outside of AIGA Michael is a Flash Platform Consultant working with the Flash Plaform for over 7 years.  In addition to his professional experience Michael has had the priviledge of sharing his knowledge of the Flash, Flex and AIR at several users groups, workshops and conferences including Web Maniacs 2008 in Washington, DC.

Elisa Watson

After graduating in 2004 with her degree in Graphic Design from UMBC, Elisa began her design career at Matthews Media Group. Moving on from MMG she freelanced at Finding Cures, Eisner Communications, and Hand Print Solutions before finding her current position as an in-house Graphic Designer at MedStar Health. There she has had the opportunity to Art Direct as well as design high quality print projects. She also works as MedStar’s in-house photographer, both photographing and art directing photo shoots. She has been with MedStar over two years and while there has won many design awards, including; American InHouse Design Awards, Aster Awards, Alfred Knight Awards, and a Hermes Award. Elisa is a fine artist in her free time and loves painting, printmaking, photography, and drawing.

Jessica Watson

 

Jessica Watson is currently a Graphic Artist for Solo Cup Company in Owings Mills, MD. She supports the marketing department and designs for the product line of cups and plates (so you may have already eaten off her art). Watson is also an entrepreneur who freelances her graphic design skills (www.artisticescape.com) and sells her art online through her company Happy Hour Studio (www.happyhourstudio.com). Prior to entering the work force she received her BA in Communication from McDaniel College. Born in Washington DC and raised in Maryland, Watson enjoys reading, the outdoors, city life, and sushi!

Viviana Cordova

Viviana Cordova is a graphic designer and educator. Her education started at the Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Graphic Design and a concentration on Interactive Media. She received an MFA degree on Graphic Design
from Maryland Institute College of Art. Her work has been exhibited in Siggraph and Seoul,Korea. She currently serves the Board AIGA of Baltimore. Also, she is a co-author of Type and Code, Processing for Designers (2008) and editor of webtypography.org. She teaches courses as an adjunct faculty at

Brian Ghiloni

 In 2007 Brian returned to Baltimore, MD after living in Seattle, WA for four years. While in Seattle, Brian was a graphic designer at a mid-sized marketing firm. There he developed corporate identities, interactive, print, and environmental designs for a wide variety of clients.

Currently Brian is a lead designer at a communications and e-learning company in Columbia, MD. He is responsible for directing multiple website and e-marketing projects, specifically tailored for associations and not-for-profits.

Brian received a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art. In his free time he continues to pursue drawing and photography.

Heather Mullally Joines

Prior to residing in Baltimore, Heather was an Account Executive at a Field Marketing company in New York where she was responsible for the planning and execution of national mobile marketing tours and tradeshows for blue chip clients. Since moving to Baltimore, Heather has focused on recruiting in the creative, advertising and marketing arena. Currently, Heather is a Contract Recruiter for a large financial services firm in Baltimore where she is not only recruiting for marketing positions, but has also expanded her knowledge into more specialty areas. In mid-December 2008, she will be returning to the search firm side, serving as the Director of Recruitment for Engine Performance in Baltimore. Engine is a Marketing Talent Agency that provides full-cycle recruiting and manages strategic branding and marketing initiatives for its clients.
