Ink & Pixels 2017: Studio Tours

Join us for an exciting day of tours through three of Baltimore’s innovative design and advertising agencies: Ashton Design, Planit, and Balti Virtual.


Ashton Design

Founded in 1985, Ashton Design is a multidisciplinary design firm with an international reputation for design leadership in the practice of experience design for settings ranging from sports arenas and school campuses to public spaces, residential and retail development.

Ashton Design work with corporations, business owners, developers, non-profits, sports teams, colleges and secondary schools, retail planners, associations and city governments. The agency partners with a variety of consultants ranging from strategists, writers, architects and landscape designers to urban planners to help shape the experience of places and spaces in a collaborative spirit.

Planit

Planit is a strategic, digitally minded agency. Brands that work with Planit get to experience unique processes and talent that still to this day remain instrumental in their evolution, or often complete transformations in the way they operate their businesses.

The firm's structure de-emphasizes traditional departments and blends disciplines into service groups. There are just three of them at Planit—Strategic Services, Creative Services, and Client Services—that combine to bring critical perspectives (consumer, experience, and industry, respectively) to address  clients' challenges, no matter the medium.

Balti Virtual

A growing team of 3D experts, Balti Virtual is uniquely positioned to create state-of-the-art Virtual and Augmented Reality experiences.

The firm has worked in 3D for almost 20 years, first cutting their teeth on PC games, before moving to consoles and mobile. Balti Virtual has always embraced new technologies and enjoys rising to the unique challenges they present. In their past positions, the Balti Virtual team has built VR and AR experiences for clients including the NFL and General Electric.

Tour: 4:00-5:00 PM

Two studio tours: $10

All three studio tours: $12
