Pulp, Ink and Hops visits the National Electronics Museum Thursday, October 22nd.
Join AIGA Baltimore for the region’s largest paper show, featuring paper and print samples from more than 30 vendors and free hops from a local microbrewery. You'll network with about 600 of your fellow creative professionals and "paper-addicts," getting a look at the latest papers, greatest printers and designer services from over 25 vendors. Get connected to the latest trends in papers, design services and swatches while honing in on exhibits like the Early Radar Gallery or the far-out Space Sensors Gallery.
Also, take a minute to visit our lounge and take part in a silent auction benefiting AIGA's design education programs and initiatives. Also enjoy light fare and "hops" from our fine local breweries. Make the most of your admission by visiting every vendor to get a crack at some fabulous door prizes. The National Electronics Museum is ten minutes from downtown Baltimore, 5:30 to 9:00 p.m.

I was interested in finding out how I can get a even cheaper student discount than the one posted for this event. I always want to go to AIGA events, but they end up being expensive.

Oh. and keep in mind there is a registration special running that makes members $7 and $20 at least through the end of this week.

Thanks for your question and comment. This year the pricing is set up for members and nonmembers—with the advance pricing being very close to the student non-member pricing. To avoid being too verbose, we want give all students access, with a preference to student-members while not creating separate and arbitraryconditions for those students to participate in the event. Past experience with the event seemed to indicate that students resented being sequestered for a time, just because they were students, and it seemed a fair compromise as often vendors often don't view students as "actionable leads" in a trade show. While I don't necessarily share either view of the extremes, it seemed a fair compromise to work to make the event most affordable for student-members and members alike, while treating non-members equally—one of the few events we approach this way. Thanks for your understanding. And we appreciate the feedback.

I have been looking forward to this every since leaving last year's event. I was also wondering about the student price, I normally bring my production class to events like this. Last year students were allowed in 1 hour later and only paid $10. Will that be implemented this year?

Is there a student price for this event? I went last year and I thought I paid a student price?
