What’s your biggest challenge as a designer or creative?

While I’m not a creative myself, I work closely with many designers, artists, and creative professionals—helping them solve financial planning challenges that are often unique to their careers. My biggest challenge is translating traditional financial frameworks into tools that actually work for the way creatives live, earn, and think. It’s about bridging the gap between structure and freedom, so they can build wealth without sacrificing their creative flow.

What’s a piece of advice that has stuck with you?

work hard and stay disciplined, even when no one’s watching. That mindset has shaped how I show up every day—whether it’s building my business or supporting the creatives I work with. Talent and ideas matter, but consistency and follow-through are what move the needle.

What are your top 3 favorite books or movies? (doesn’t have to be design-related)

Movies: Batman Trilogy (christopher Nolan)

Friday Night lights

Bad Boys II

What’s one tool, object, or routine that helps you get through the workday?

My morning routine is the tool that anchors my entire day. I always start with a walk, no distractions—just time to clear my head and mentally map out what needs to get done. It helps me reset, prioritize, and approach the day with focus instead of reacting to everything as it comes.

What sparks creativity for you?

Honestly, working out sparks a lot of creativity for me. There’s something about being in motion—whether I’m lifting, running, or doing cardio—that helps me work through problems and come up with fresh ideas. It clears mental clutter and gets me out of “task mode,” which is when I find my thinking is sharpest and most creative.

What do you love doing outside of design?

Outside of work, I love watching movies and shows with my wife—it’s our way to unwind and connect. I’m also big on good dinners, whether we’re trying a new restaurant or just enjoying a quiet night in. Those moments help me reset and keep everything in perspective.
