Flux25: Celebrating Student Creativity Nationwide

Flux25: Celebrating Student Creativity Nationwide

AIGA Baltimore’s annual Flux Student Design Competition continues to recognize the next generation of outstanding designers. Since its launch in 2007, Flux has provided a nationwide platform for undergraduate and graduate students to showcase their creativity and innovation.

On Thursday, February 12, AIGA Baltimore gathered at BmoreArt for a night that felt both celebratory and meaningful. The Flux Awards Reception brought together students, educators, designers, and supporters to recognize the incredible work being created by emerging creatives across the country.

This year, Flux received 639 entries from undergraduate and graduate students nationwide, with 78 finalists recognized. The diverse ideas across Identity, Packaging, Poster, Publication, Social Impact Design, UX/UI, and Video and Motion Graphics were thoughtful, ambitious, and inspiring to see in person. Want to see the winners? Take a look here.

Flux is more than a competition. It is one of the ways AIGA Baltimore shows up for students. We believe in creating real opportunities for young designers to have their work seen, celebrated, and taken seriously. Providing a national platform matters. Thoughtful feedback from respected professionals matters. Gathering in a room to honor student work matters.

We are grateful to this year’s jury, Ron Bronson, Jacob DeGeal, Scott Gericke, and Christine Taylor, for the care and consideration they brought to reviewing this year’s submissions.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at BmoreArt and helped make the evening feel so special. And thank you to our sponsors Alpha Graphics, BmoreArt, and TBC for supporting this year’s Flux Student Design Competition and helping us continue this important work.

To every student who submitted, thank you. Your creativity, perspective, and willingness to share your work are what make Flux what it is. We are proud to support you and excited to see what you do next.

We are already looking forward to the next Flux.
