Join AIGA Baltimore for IDEA Phase, our annual event focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in design!

This in-person program will feature guided conversations and hands-on activities that help attendees apply DEIA principles to their creative work. You will also have time to meet others in Baltimore’s design community and share ideas.

  1. 10–10:30am – Check-in & Refreshments
  2. 10:30–10:40am – Welcome & Opening Remarks (AIGA Baltimore, CFA, CSD)
  3. 10:40–11:40am – The Art of Making Space: Building Together and Designing the Conditions for Belonging, Maureen Nicole
  4. 11:45am–12:45pm – Cultural Memory in Creative Practice, Joan Cox
  5. 12:45–1:45pm – Lunch Break
  6. 1:45–2:45pm – Memories from the future: Designing the Next Chapter, Ismael Carrillo 
  7. 2:50–3:50pm – Designing for Stewardship: How Design Builds Community Belonging and Collective Action, Inna Alesina (Workshop)
  8. 3:50–4:00pm – Closing Remarks

Designers and creative professionals at every career stage are welcome.

Parking: Free parking is available in the Union Garage directly across from the Center for the Arts building.
