Shaping Spaces & Inspiring Change, presented by AIGA Cleveland & AIGA Baltimore, is a virtual event held on October 24th, 2024 at 6pm ET.
Dr. Sweeper will be discussing “Design at an HBCU: The Morgan & AIGA Era”. The book illuminates the story of how the AIGA student chapter at Morgan State University, the first chapter at an Historically Black College & University (HBCU), was formed.
Mr. Souza will be discussing highlights from “An Anthology of Blackness: The State of Black Design.” Souza will also guide the audience through a workshop entitled, “Mapping Positionality and Enhancing Empathy in Design” to help participants quickly understand their Positionality and how it influences their design process, fostering self-awareness and effective collaboration.
Be one of the first 10 people to get a ticket and you will get either one of the two books shipped to you for free. And if you end up not being a part of the first 10 people, you can still have a chance to win a $20.00 Target Gift card. So don’t miss out and get your ticket today!
The virtual link will be sent out to all registered attendees
