Late Creates: Art as Resilience – A Creative Journey

Late Creates: Art as Resilience – A Creative Journey

Art is more than a product. It is a practice of survival, self-definition, and resistance. In this intimate and politically resonant talk, writer and artist Gemma Ortwerth shares how poetry, digital design, and personal storytelling became lifelines through neurodivergence, chronic illness, and gender transition. With honesty and heart, she explores how creativity offers refuge, resilience, and connection, especially for those pushed to the margins. Attendees will leave with a renewed sense of how art holds space for truth, healing, and imagining something better.
