At this event you will hear from hiring managers and creative directors who will share what they look for in top candidates’ resume, cover letter, portfolio, and social media. Learn how to prepare for interviews, what questions to ask, and how to present your work. The event will round off with advice on what kind of positions to apply to, typical entry-level roles and responsibilities, and salary expectations for your first design job.

Heather Tramontana Border, Associate Creative Director
With almost 10 years of agency experience, Heather has worked as an Associate Creative Director, Art Director and designer on almost everything and anything—from direct marketing and email campaigns, to full UX website design and strategy. She has a particular love for packaging design and shopper marketing, as well as corporate identity and branding. Her roster includes Liberty Mutual Insurance, AutoZone, P&G, McCormick Spices, T. Rowe Price, Phillips Seafood, Toyota, and PayPal. It’s a miracle she still finds time to teach at the Maryland Institute College of Art and raise two kids.
Andrea Tirloy, Senior Manager of Talent & Acquisition
With over 10 years of experience in the industry, Andrea started her career in a staffing agency specific to the creative industry and moved over to lead the recruiting and HR for the Havas helia Baltimore and Richmond offices. She is well versed in all facets of the interview and candidate processes and is excited to share her knowledge with new graduates in the area.
Transportation and Parking
HAVAS helia is convenient to several public transportation methods, including the Charm City Circulator’s Purple, Orange and Blue/Banner Lines. Parking validation is available for the garage at 400 E Pratt St. The entrance to the garage is located on the left hand side of Lombard Street between Gay and Commerce Streets.
