Aesthetic, function and particularity of spatial experiences are crucial to evoke emotional and intellectual responses, as opposed to hyper-connected subjectivity or arrested sociality of rising spectacles. In this talk, Udit discusses the role of UX in multi-functional spaces, where new materials, technologies, and media come together to create encounters, build connections, shape behaviors and explore relationships over hours, days and years. From example projects he has worked on within arts, entertainment, accommodation, culture, education, work, and travel, he will talk about how UX can drive storytelling in varied spaces and contexts, cherishing the uniqueness we all possess. Udit currently works as a UX Designer at AV&C, a group of designers, engineers and specialty technologists creating architectural scale responsive installations in the built environment.

Udit Mahajan is an experience-interaction designer, creative technologist and new media artist based in New York, with a background in electrical engineering from India. He is interested in the use of design and technology for multi-modal digital and physical interactions, narratives, experiences, and interfaces. He graduated from MFA Design and Technology program at Parsons School of Design in May 2016 and since, has been working as Experience Designer at AV&C, teaching at Parsons School of Design and Learning Community Charter School, and involved in select projects with creative groups, labs, and friends around the world.
