Abbott Miller: A Sextet of Pecha Kuchas with Interludes

2014 AIGA Medalist Abbott Miller is spending an evening with AIGA Baltimore! Over the course of his career, Abbott has co-founded a company (Design/Writing/Research), published countless creative works, and served as a partner at Pentagram for over a decade. He is currently exploring digital apps as a new stage for experiencing art.

Miller will attempt to “pecha kucha” himself in a presentation that uses the popular 20-slides-for-20-seconds format in a succession of short thematic discussions that are sure to delight, inspire, and most importantly, make you think. He will consider weighty topics that include the state of graphic design, finding the craft in whatever area you work in, discovering the sweet spot between design and content, and practicing design like an anthropologist.

Following the presentation, we’ll have a short question and answer session with our honored speaker.

Parking: Baltimore Studios is convenient to the Purple and Green Charm City Circulator bus routes. There is also a pay-to-park garage and a lot along Guilford Avenue, as well as street parking nearby.
