Let's create a city where design thrives! And let's do it by making design attainable, by proving its impact, and by uniting people more deeply in Baltimore with each other. If you have a desire to see our community grow and flourish then we urge you to join us for our next community meeting.
On March 22, AIGA Baltimore and the national AIGA Women Lead Initiative (WLI) invite you to learn more about this new initiative, hear what other chapters are doing, and discuss how you can help contribute to WLI on a local level.
The AIGA Women Lead Initiative (WLI) is committed to empowering women in design and advancing the vital discourse on issues facing professional women today without generalizing or segregating women designers. Instead, we aim to address persistent biases and inequities inclusively and constructively through programming around three goals:
-
Celebrate the achievements of women in design.
-
Cultivate awareness of gender-related issues, while building knowledge and leadership skills.
-
Connect by facilitating relationships within and beyond the design industry.
