Design Week 2018: BIG Time Improv Event

How do you know when you've truly succeeded? The answer is when the Baltimore Improv Group invites you to have your life memorialized in a series of made up, totally unprepared comedy scenes celebrating you! Come join a hand picked cast of BIG's best improvisers as they comedically revere some of Baltimore's most important movers and shakers.

As part of this special Design Week edition the BIG Time team will be interviewing chapter president Joseph Carter-Brown.

About Joseph Carter-Brown

As a youth Joseph Carter-Brown self-identified as a Ninja Turtle, and his eating habits included a philosophy of, “honey mustard on errthang”. As an adult Joe now indoctrinates his 8-year-old daughter in the ways of honey mustard, and is a ux designer and front-end developer at Unleashed Technologies; as well as serving as President for AIGA Baltimore: The Professional Association for Design, helping to provide access to professional, and personal development opportunities.

About Baltimore Improv Group

Baltimore Improv Group (BIG) deploys veteran improv teachers to corporations in order to share the unique lessons of improv comedy to the professional world.  Using fun and fundamental exercises, BIG will create a safe and playful atmosphere in which to address any soft skill you're looking to focus on.

AIGA Baltimore Design Week 2018

This year’s AIGA Baltimore Design Week is an exploration of topics related to the boundaries – real and artificial – that constrain, separate, protect, and define us. As designers, as Baltimoreans, and as people.

Join us, along with luminaries from Baltimore’s academic and design communities, for a series of events and discussions in October as we look back at developments that shaped Baltimore design over the last year, and look ahead to what’s next. See the full week of events here.
