As designers, we know that print is far from dead. In fact, print is a complex, innovative field with a wide array of specific applications. Whenever you need to have a design or product physically manifested, where do you turn? Nicole Munchel, a Baltimore-based photojournalist + designer, wondered just that. If you love print as much as we do, then join AIGA Baltimore at Open Works on August 12th for our next Fireside Chat!
Nicole Munchel will be speaking about her venture with Print Baltimore, a local database of print vendors in Maryland designed to help local creatives and businesses connect with the right people for the jobs they have. Nicole will be sharing about her inspiration behind the project and showcasing the people behind the companies, giving you an inside look at your local printers! We ask that you please bring a laptops/tablet/screen (as if we ever leave home without them) so that you can click through the site and give feedback.
This event is free and open to all.
What's Fireside Chat? It's an opportunity for you to bring your ideas to the table, in an open and inviting space (think Open Mic for Creatives). Got an idea you want to share? Bring it! Have a question you'd like answered? Ask it! Want feedback on a presentation, or design you're working on? Now is your chance! Topic submissions for Fireside Chats are open to all (by emailing: programming@baltimore.aiga.org) and will be selected on a first-come-first served basis.
