Meet the Board | Donnoy Morgan, Membership and Volunteer Chair

Donnoy Morgan refers to herself as a visual storyteller. She specializes in photography and graphic design. With her Caribbean roots she creates bold, narrative-driven work that celebrates identity, culture, and human connection. An alumna of Towson University with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, she is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Teaching – Art Education at Towson.

Her design approach blends artistry with advocacy, using visuals to amplify underrepresented voices and spark dialogue around social and cultural issues. Donnoy has collaborated with brands such as Denimrush x Under Armour as a Merchandise Customization Specialist and served as the event merchandise designer for Baltimore City Mayor Brandon Scott. Through her work, she strives to craft designs that not only look powerful but mean something—turning creativity into a tool for representation, awareness, and change.

What’s your biggest challenge as a designer or creative?

Balancing the heart and the hustle. As creatives, we’re constantly pouring ourselves into projects, but the reality of deadlines, budgets, and business demands can sometimes feel at odds with the joy of creating. I’m always learning how to create a balance between enjoying the process of creating and CONSISTENCY!

What’s a piece of advice that has stuck with you?

“Dogs don’t bark at parked cars.”

What are your top 3 favorite books or movies? (doesn’t have to be design-related)

“The Hate U Give” is a standout for me and I am not much of a book reader but anything regarding social and political movements, you can count me in! I am a Pixar and Disney type vibe so I looove Raya the last Dragon and Moana.

What’s one tool, object, or routine that helps you get through the workday?

Although I’m not a bougie, my coffee/tea routine will have you like what?  Whether it’ s handcrafted or an over-the-top speciality drink. I guarantee you, I will have a good day.

What sparks creativity for you?

Honestly, people and the different conversations held and stories we have to share. I believe that is very important and a pivotal piece to my mental sketchbook. A story that shapes who someone is, and that narrative is everything. Holding conversations it’s a different experience than reading a book.

What do you love doing outside of design?

Ugh! Man I don’t know how I’m always creating something. However, I will say though that I love entertaining, good eats, and drinks! I get into a hosting bag lowkey, I like to invite people over for a good time and laughs. Life be lifing so I try in moments to sit back and admire how far I’ve came and spend time with my loved one.
