We recognize the importance and benefits of finding and engaging with supportive creative communities. This curated list of local and global creative associations, Facebook groups, community organizations and job boards was created for use during our 2020 AIGA Baltimore Ink & Pixels Roundtables event and will be updated from time to time.

The 8th annual AIGA Baltimore Design Week kicked off with a special Design & Dine with the legendary Debbie Millman. Founder and host of the Design Matters Podcast, Debbie has interviewed over 500 artists, designers, and industry experts. This special Design & Dine was no lecture. Instead, it was Debbie’s signature conversational interview style with 30 of Baltimore’s industry professionals. Had it been recorded, it could’ve been the next episode of Design Matters.

YOU: a creative Baltimore area resident. US: a collective of professional designers interested in sharing your creativity across our social streams in order to highlight and amplify the creativity of Baltimore and inspire fellow community creatives.

Inspiration can be found everywhere in Baltimore, whether out in the open or lurking around the corner, but it can be easy to miss if you’re not looking. Not only can inspiration strike in certain places, but also certain times of year when art is in the air. With special art­ focused events like Artscape, the MD Film Fest, and the Kinetic Sculpture Race, Baltimore has a lot to offer to creatives.
